Mrs. James

The Basics: Hello! My name is Ashlynn James and I teach Middle Science and Math at Saint Mary's Catholic School in Florida. I chose to become a teacher because I wanted to share my love of learning with others in an out-the-box type of way. I want all my students to know for every problem there are multiple ways of solving them, except in math...there is only one way to solve math problems. I do not simply teach children what they need to know according to the school system, but I invest in their lives so their harvest will be plentiful.

My Childhood: I was born and bred Texan by way of Beaumont, Texas. I lived in Texas for the majority of my life with my mom—and the other part was with my dad in Virginia. I am the oldest of five children and love my siblings very much. The best part about my childhood was when my school went to L.A. and I was able to perform during battle of the bands, GO PANTHERS!!!

My Education: In May of 2013, I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from West Texas A&M University. I am certified in Texas to teach 4th - 8th grade math and science and 5th - 9th grade Math and Science in Florida. I obtained my Masters degree in 2018 from Grand Canyon University in Instructional Technology. I am currently working on my Google Educator Certification.
